When I think about what is most important for someone who is just starting out, my answer is surprisingly simple.

You do not need to know everything right away.

Many people worry about learning the perfect manners, remembering every rule, or becoming good at the job as quickly as possible. Of course those things are important, but I believe there is something even more valuable.

Be willing to learn.

When you do not know something, ask.
When someone teaches you, listen.
When you make a mistake, learn from it instead of being afraid of it.

Nobody begins as an expert.

I also think kindness is an important skill. Greeting people with a smile, saying "thank you," and showing respect to those around you can make a bigger difference than you might imagine.

Skills can be learned over time, but a kind attitude and a willingness to grow will help you wherever you go.

So if you are just beginning, do not put too much pressure on yourself.

Take one step at a time.
Learn one thing at a time.
And remember that every experienced person was once a beginner too.

Don't forget to find one small happiness today. 💚
